Guanajuato.- The bodies of a man and a woman were found on Tuesday afternoon in a rural area of the Punta del Sol neighborhood, to the west of the city.
Both victims showed signs of violence and gunshot wounds.
The discovery occurred when people walking along the Balcones de las Joyas boulevard noticed that, among the underbrush, there were two individuals apparently unconscious, prompting them to immediately report to the emergency system 911.
Municipal Police and Civil Protection paramedics arrived at the scene, and upon examining the victims, confirmed that they no longer had vital signs and had sustained injuries from gunfire.
The area was cordoned off by authorities to preserve evidence, while investigative agents and forensic experts began the necessary procedures to clarify the double homicide.
So far, the victims have not been officially identified, and the motive for the attack remains unknown.
The bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service, where an autopsy will be performed, and the identification process will continue.
